8:35 - A bell will ring and a member of staff will be on duty in the Infant playground. This is usually a member of the senior management team with Mr. Phillips. There is no supervision outside until this time.
8:45 - School begins. Children will line up in their classes and their teacher will walk them to their classroom.
9:00 - On Mondays and Fridays the children gather in the hall for assemblies and collective worship. Mrs. White, our head teacher, delivers assemblies based on the liturgical year on Mondays. Friday assembly time is used for class assemblies when parents are welcome to join us. We also hold an awards assembly on the first Friday of each month when children, staff and parents celebrate talents and successes. Please see the calendar page for assembly dates. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays lessons begin at 9:00.
9:30 - Second lesson. This is usually phonics based for the infants and English or Maths for the juniors.
10:30 - 10:45 Morning break
10:45 - Third lesson. This is usually English or Maths.
12:00 - Lunch
1:00 - Afternoon school begins. Teachers use the afternoons to apply skills taught in the mornings to topic work, History and Geography. Science, R.E., sport and the creative subjects are also taught in the afternoons.
3:05 School finishes for infants.
3:15 School finishes for juniors.
All children are walked to the infant playground to meet parents at the end of the day. A duty member of staff will monitor the hand over of children at the gate. Children with permission to leave the school gates unaccompanied by an adult will need written consent from parents.
