Class 4

Welcome to Class 4!

Class Teachers: Mrs Fincham & Mrs Pagliari

Mrs Pagliari and I are pleased to welcome you to the Class 4 webpage. This year we are job sharing, so you'll fine Mrs Pagliari teaching on Thursdays and Friday and Mrs Fincham teaching Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Please ensure your child has their PE kit in school throughout the week, as although PE is timetabled for Mondays and Wednesday there may be additional opportunities throughout the week. Long hair must be tied back and earrings must be removed for health and safety reasons (or tape needs to be supplied for us to cover ears). Please make sure joggers and a hoody are included for cold weather.

Your child needs to maintain the high standard of reading they partake in whilst at school, so please can all children be reading at home on a regular basis. They will be reading to an adult in school on a weekly basis, and will be provided with targets to accomplish at home to stretch and motivate them. I'm happy to supply any ideas of how to make reading with your children easier at home, and will be sharing these with you when I get to meet you all in. the. coming weeks.

Final Note

Please ensure your child comes to school with a water bottle so they can remain hydrated throughout the day. There is no need for pencil cases to be brought into school, as we have provided any equipment that may be needed across all of the subjects, and they tend to prove distracting in the classroom.

If you need to speak to me, please contact me via email / or via Dojo messaging.

Kind Regards,

Mrs. Fincham and Mrs. Pagliari

Year 4 Multiplication tables check 2021

Pentecost term

This half term we will be studying the Victorian period in history and linking this to our writing in literacy.  In science we will begin investigating the states of matter, solids, liquids and gases.  In Design Technology (DT) we are investigating how strong structures are built, linking this to buildings in the Victorian era such as Crystal Palace.  In computing we are looking at spreadsheets and how to collect weather data.
