St. Peter's Catholic Primary School is a one form entry school and has just over 200 pupils on roll.

The school has a strong religious ethos. It is a purposeful and happy school with a determination to be successful and to give all learners the opportunity to develop fully, personally, academically and spiritually (see Mission Statement). Our Catholic ethos permeates everything we do.

We are part of the St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Multi Academy Trust. This Trust has 18 other primary schools and 4 secondary schools, all Catholic schools from across Leicester city and Leicestershire County.

St. Peter’s is a very friendly place to work, staff get on well together and enjoy their work. We are very supportive of one another and strengths and difficulties are shared. We have a mixture of long-standing staff and staff who have joined the school more recently. I like to think that the staff model friendship and positive relationships between each other in order that the pupils can  behave and support one another in the same way.

In our last inspection the pupils’ behaviour was considered outstanding. We give pupils a lot of responsibility and this raises the bar with regard to our expectations of  their behaviour.

The successful candidate would be well supported by colleagues, we are all hard working and we all want the best for the pupils at this school. We know that by supporting the new LSA in their new role, the children will benefit . Please apply in writing. Please include your CV and covering letter sharing your strengths and weaknesses and explain why you want to work at this school.
